Terms of engagement
These terms apply to diary reviews, studies, and briefing days described on this site. Using the site or sending an enquiry does not, by itself, create a paid engagement.
Acceptance
A paid engagement begins only when we send a scoped note and you confirm in writing (email is enough) that you accept the fee, the sites, the season, and these terms. Until then, extracts you send are treated as confidential enquiry material.
The work
We read anonymised appointment diaries and related opening-hour and menu documents you supply. We write findings and, where booked, present them. We do not operate your salons, instruct staff, or supply booking software.
Your materials
You warrant that you have the right to share the extracts and that they do not include payment-card data or unnecessary personal addresses. You remain responsible for your own data-protection duties to clients and staff.
Intellectual property
The briefing pack is licensed to your group for internal use, including sharing with managers and professional advisers. You may not resell the pack or publish it as a generic industry report. Our journal essays and site copy remain ours.
Liability
Findings describe a past season. They are not a forecast, a valuation, or advice on employment, tax, or health and safety. Our liability for a paid engagement is limited to the fees you paid for that engagement, except where the law of the United Kingdom does not allow a limit (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, and fraud).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may still pursue unpaid invoices in another United Kingdom jurisdiction where your group is established.
